Crispy air-fried buffalo cauliflower that delivers wing-style flavor with fewer calories and less mess. A perfect snack or appetizer for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or chickpea/rice flour for gluten-free)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (or vegan butter)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cauliflower by cutting it into even, bite-sized florets and pat dry.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Add cauliflower to the batter, ensuring each piece is well coated, then shake off excess batter.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry the florets in a single layer for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until golden and crisp.
  6. While the cauliflower cooks, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted butter.
  7. Once cooked, transfer the cauliflower to a bowl and toss with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve immediately for maximum crispness.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider tossing the battered florets in panko before air frying. Use low-sodium buffalo sauce for a healthier option.
