A quick and delicious air fryer recipe for crispy toast topped with a perfectly cooked egg and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly butter one side of the bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges or over the whites.
  5. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, until the whites are set and cheese is melted.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Serve hot.

Notes

Use thick slices of bread for better structure. Experiment with different cheeses and add veggies for extra nutrition.
