  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking soda in a bowl; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips with a spatula, ensuring an even distribution throughout the dough.
  7. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
