A creamy and flavorful Indian dish featuring tender chicken in a rich tomato sauce.

  • 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chicken pieces and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Add the tomato puree, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and butter, heating through.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.

Notes

Use fresh spices for the best flavor. Adjust spices to taste for milder or spicier options.
