  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter, then stir in the sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Combine this mixture with the wet ingredients.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled brownie layer and bake for another 30-35 minutes.
  7. Melt the sugar in a saucepan until golden for the caramel sauce. Slowly stir in the butter and cream, then add salt to taste.
  8. Drizzle the caramel over the cooled cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
