  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes and cooked beef mixture.
  5. Pour beef broth over the layers, covering them evenly.
  6. Top with shredded cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
