Delightful bite-sized treats combining chocolate cake with a fun lollipop-style dessert, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Additional ingredients to make the cake per box instructions
  • 12 oz Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 8 oz Plain Cream Cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, substituting water for milk if desired.
  2. Let the cake cool completely in the pan before transferring it to a cooling rack.
  3. Make the cream cheese frosting by mixing butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a large bowl, adding sugar gradually until smooth.
  4. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in about 1 cup of frosting until combined. Add more frosting if needed until the mixture can be rolled into balls.
  5. Chill the cake pop batter in the fridge for 30-45 minutes.
  6. Roll about 1.5 tbsp of batter into a ball and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining batter.
  7. Melt chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe dish in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  8. Dip one end of a cake pop stick into melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake pop ball and return to the sheet.
  9. Chill the baking sheet again for chocolate to set, about 30-45 minutes.
  10. Dip each cake pop in melted chocolate until fully covered, allowing excess to drip off.
  11. Immediately sprinkle with toppings before the chocolate hardens.
  12. Let the pops set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for a crunchy outer layer.
