Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

A delightful banana bread with a cinnamon swirl that brings warmth and comfort to any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.
  5. Slowly mix in the flour, being careful not to overwork the batter.
  6. In a separate bowl, blend the cinnamon and brown sugar together.
  7. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  8. Add the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  9. Use a knife or a skewer to gently swirl the cinnamon mix into the batter for that perfect swirl effect.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing the loaf from the pan.

Notes

Make sure your bananas are really ripe for maximum sweetness. Don’t overmix the batter once you add the flour to keep the bread light and fluffy.
