Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls

Soft and warm cinnamon rolls with a sweet filling and creamy frosting, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll up tightly and cut into slices.
  6. Place in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth.
  9. Spread frosting over warm cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days, or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to two months.
