  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness for consistent cooking.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until it’s golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  5. Lower the heat, then add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any tasty browned bits.
  7. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer until it thickens.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat in the sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with a mixture of milk and butter. For a dairy-free option, consider plant-based cream.
