A comforting dish of tender chicken in rich gravy, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in your crockpot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the gravy.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use low-fat cream of chicken soup or a homemade cream sauce. Great served with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
