Delicious, soft, and chewy cookies topped with cream cheese frosting, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.

Ingredients

  • 70 g Brown Sugar
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 115 g Butter (melted)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 220 g Plain Flour
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 90 g Butter (softened)
  • 90 g Cream Cheese
  • 250 g Icing Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine plain flour, cornflour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
  5. Scoop cookie dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  7. Let the cookies cool on a rack.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat softened butter and cream cheese together.
  9. Gradually mix in icing sugar until smooth.
  10. Frost the cooled cookies with the cream cheese frosting.

Notes

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Do not overbake the cookies; take them out while they are still slightly soft. Experiment with different flavors of frosting or toppings.
