A simple and delicious dish combining tender beef and crisp broccoli in a flavorful sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger. Add the beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the broccoli and a splash of water, cover, and steam for about 2-3 minutes or until the broccoli is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot on its own or over cooked rice.

Notes

For the best results, use thinly sliced beef and fresh broccoli. Adjust seasoning to personal taste and consider adding other vegetables for variety.
