A simple and delicious green bean casserole that combines fresh green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crispy onions, making it a perfect dish for family dinners or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce.
  3. Stir in the trimmed green beans and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and stir in half of the crispy fried onions.
  6. Top with the remaining crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add more milk. You can use fresh or frozen green beans, just adjust the cooking time if needed.
