A rich and fudgy flourless chocolate cake topped with a luxurious chocolate ganache, perfect for chocolate lovers and those with dietary restrictions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the dark chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from the heat and mix in the sugar, followed by the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in the cocoa powder and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, then let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the dark chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  9. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  10. Let the ganache set before serving.

Notes

Pair with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Garnish with fresh berries or a sprinkle of cocoa powder or powdered sugar.
