Ingredients

Scale
  • 250gm Kunafa dough
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 180gm Gulab Jamun Mix
  • 150gm Fresh Cream
  • Pistachio for garnish
  • 3 cups granulated white sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 Cardamom pods
  • 1 Tsp Saffron

Instructions

  1. Make the Sugar Syrup: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan on medium heat, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat to mix in lemon juice, cardamom, and saffron.
  2. Soak the Gulab Jamun: Pour one-third of the syrup into a wide dish. Prepare dough according to the Gulab Jamun mix instructions, making small balls. Deep fry until golden brown, then soak in prepared syrup for at least 45 minutes.
  3. Prepare the Kunafa Nests: Grease a cupcake baking pan and preheat oven to 180°C. Coat kunafa strips with melted butter, twisting into nests fitting the molds. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crisp and light golden.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Place Kunafa nests on a serving plate, add fresh cream and 2-3 mini Gulab Jamuns on top, drizzle with syrup, and garnish with pistachios.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough for frying Gulab Jamun. You can add rose water to sugar syrup for extra aroma.
