A warm and comforting casserole combining layers of ground beef, sliced potatoes, and creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 large potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until soft. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk, whisking until smooth.
  4. Layer half the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the sauce. Repeat the layers.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. After that, remove the foil, add cheese on top, and bake for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For best flavor, brown the beef well. You can customize with veggies or different cheeses.
