A quick and hearty honey garlic sausage and sweet potato meal that comes together in one pan for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 ounces smoked sausage (like kielbasa), sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon of water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then spread them in an even layer on the baking sheet.
  3. Roast the sweet potatoes for 15 minutes.
  4. Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Whisk the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
  6. Add the sliced sausage and broccoli to the sheet pan, drizzle half of the honey garlic sauce over everything, and toss gently to coat.
  7. Return the pan to the oven and roast for 15 to 20 more minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, drizzle the remaining sauce over the pan, toss once more, and serve hot.

Notes

For a less sweet dish, reduce the honey or add a splash more vinegar. You can swap smoked sausage for chicken or plant-based sausage.
