IHOP Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Delicious and fluffy pancakes filled with chocolate chips, perfect for a sweet breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder until well combined.
  2. Pour the buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter into the mixing bowl and whisk together until smooth.
  3. Stir the chocolate chips into the batter until evenly dispersed.
  4. Add a dab of butter to a non-stick pan and heat over medium heat until melted.
  5. Scoop 1/3 cup of pancake batter into the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, flipping once bubbles appear in the center.
  6. Place cooked pancakes on a lined baking sheet and keep warm in a low oven if desired.
  7. Serve warm, optionally topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and extra chocolate chips.

Notes

For a richer taste, you can use buttermilk, and feel free to customize with your favorite chocolate chips or nuts.
