  • Romaine or iceberg lettuce (washed and dried)
  • Ripe tomatoes (sliced)
  • Red onions (thinly sliced)
  • Salami (deli slices)
  • Ham (deli slices)
  • Provolone cheese (sliced)
  • Olives (sliced or whole)
  • Italian dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer the washed lettuce on the bottom half to create a moisture barrier.
  3. Add tomato slices and scatter the thinly sliced red onions.
  4. Layer the salami and ham evenly across the loaf.
  5. Place provolone slices over the meats and scatter olives to taste.
  6. Drizzle Italian dressing evenly and season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Close with the top half of the bread, press gently, and slice into individual portions.
  8. Serve cold.
