A quick, low-carb stir fry featuring ground beef and cabbage, seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil for a flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula, cooking until browned and starting to caramelize.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for about 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage and pour in the soy sauce, tossing frequently until the cabbage softens but still has some texture.
  5. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for less splatter. For less sodium, use low-sodium soy sauce. Fresh ginger and garlic enhance the dish.
