A delightful dessert combining rich cheesecake with the unique flavor of matcha green tea, perfect for impressing guests at any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and matcha powder and blend until completely combined.
  5. Gently fold in the sour cream until smooth.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for an hour.
  9. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

For the best results, use high-quality matcha powder. Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps.
