Ingredients
Scale
4 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
4 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 1/2 teaspoons)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish large enough to hold the chicken in a single layer.
Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Arrange the chicken breasts in the prepared dish and pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over them, turning each breast to coat.
Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes. Check with an instant-read thermometer; the chicken is done at 165°F (75°C). If you want a deeper caramel color, broil for 1 to 2 minutes while watching closely.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after removing from the oven, then spoon any pan sauce over the breasts and garnish with chopped parsley if using. Serve with your preferred sides.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce. You can also substitute maple syrup for honey for a different sweetness.
