A quick, indulgent bowl featuring crispy ground beef, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a creamy burger sauce, all without the hassle of a traditional burger.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cheese, shredded or sliced (cheddar or American)
  • 1/4 cup pickles, diced
  • 1/4 cup onions, diced
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup burger sauce (ketchup and mayo mix or your favorite)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat until hot. Add the ground beef and break it into chunks.
  2. Cook the beef, stirring occasionally, until browned and some pieces develop crisp edges, about 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper while cooking.
  3. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the beef rest for a minute, then divide the meat evenly among bowls.
  4. Top each bowl with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, pickles, and onions. Sprinkle cheese over the hot beef so it softens.
  5. Drizzle each bowl with about 1 tablespoon of burger sauce or to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

For a lighter bowl, swap ground beef for ground turkey or a plant-based option. Adjust toppings as desired to make it kid-friendly.
