Delightful soft and chewy sugar cookies that melt in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until fluffy.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and then roll them in the additional sugar.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Let cool and enjoy!

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
