  • 1 cup sourdough starter or discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sourdough starter, flour, milk, egg, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and melted butter or oil.
  2. Mix until just combined.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  4. Pour batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  5. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For best results, ensure your sourdough starter is active. Do not overmix the batter, and feel free to adjust the thickness with more milk if needed.
