A delightful blend of cinnamon rolls and strawberry cheesecake, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes. Let it rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour.
  2. Beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.
  3. Mix butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
  4. Punch down the risen dough, roll it into a rectangle, spread the cinnamon mixture, then the cheesecake filling. Roll up tightly, cut into 12 rolls, and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  6. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and adjust with milk for glaze consistency.
  7. Drizzle glaze over slightly cooled rolls and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure that your yeast is fresh for the best rise. You can check this by mixing it with warm water and sugar; it should bubble up. Use fresh strawberries for better flavor.
