A comforting and versatile casserole with layers of seasoned ground beef, creamy soup, and crispy tater tots.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 package frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the cream of mushroom soup, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish. Layer the beef mixture evenly at the bottom, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  5. Arrange the frozen tater tots over the cheese layer, covering it fully.
  6. Bake in your preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy. Serve hot!

Notes

Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Freezing is also an option if stored in a freezer-safe dish.
