Delicious and chewy chocolate chip cookies with soft centers and crispy edges. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
