A delightful twist on a classic snack, these crispy Air Fryer Fried Pickles are lighter than traditional fried pickles and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dill pickle chips
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Drain the pickle chips and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle chip into the buttermilk, letting any excess buttermilk drip off before moving to the next step.
  4. Coat the pickle chips with the cornmeal mixture thoroughly.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Place the coated pickle chips in the air fryer basket in a single layer, and lightly spray them with cooking spray.
  7. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a different texture, swap cornmeal for breadcrumbs. Add cayenne for extra kick.
