This Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Shrimp recipe delivers a bright and crispy dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off as you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (use finely grated for even coating)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced (about 4 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked paprika adds a nice depth)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine grated parmesan, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix well so the flavors are evenly distributed.
  3. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss the shrimp with olive oil to coat evenly.
  4. Add the shrimp to the parmesan mixture and toss until every piece is coated.
  5. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding; work in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the shrimp halfway through so they brown evenly.
  7. Remove the shrimp, squeeze fresh lemon juice over them, and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a milder garlic flavor, reduce to 1 tablespoon. For a sharper bite, use Pecorino Romano in place of parmesan.
