A fantastic dish featuring tender beef and fresh broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thin
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Place the sliced beef in the Crockpot and pour the sauce over it, stirring to coat evenly.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the Crockpot about 30 minutes before serving and stir to combine.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

For best results, marinate the sliced beef for an hour before cooking and consider adding other vegetables for a colorful presentation.
