Easy & Cheesy Baked Beef and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

A comforting pasta dish filled with ground beef and ricotta cheese, topped with marinara and mozzarella for a heartwarming meal.

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic and onion in a skillet until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned.
  5. Combine the cooked beef mixture with ricotta cheese in a bowl.
  6. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish.
  7. Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture and place them in the baking dish.
  8. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated cheese and add vegetables for added nutrition.
