Deliciously chewy and gooey chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, try chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
