Tender pulled chicken smothered in barbecue sauce, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot with cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then place them in the bottom of the pot.
  3. Mix the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  5. Cook on high for 150-180 minutes or low for 300-360 minutes until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  6. Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks to soak up extra sauce.

Notes

For an extra kick, add some hot sauce to the barbecue mixture. Experiment with different barbecue sauces for varied flavors.
