Creamy and comforting baked breakfast bowls filled with cottage cheese and fresh blueberries, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (whole-milk works best)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats (optional)
  • Chopped nuts for topping (optional; walnuts, pecans, or almonds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small baking dish or individual ramekins.
  2. Combine the cottage cheese, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Stir until evenly blended.
  3. Fold in the fresh blueberries and the rolled oats if you are using them, being careful not to crush the berries.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center no longer jiggles. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out mostly clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes to help it set.
  7. Spoon into bowls and top with chopped nuts if desired.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with a drizzle of extra maple syrup or yogurt. For crunchy contrast, add toasted granola or nut crumble on top.
