Delicious, crispy-edged and chewy-centered chocolate chip cookies that will boost your mood and impress family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (12-ounce) package milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Beat the butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the granulated and light brown sugars, mixing until smooth and pale.
  4. Blend in the eggs and vanilla extract until creamy.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring gently until well combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Optionally, refrigerate the dough for 24 to 36 hours to improve flavor and texture.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough, roll them into balls, and place 8 per cookie sheet.
  10. Bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes, or until lightly golden.
