  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, and chopped onion until well blended.
  3. Incorporate the ketchup, milk, egg, salt, black pepper, and optional mustard. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

Notes

Letting the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes after baking will help the juices redistribute for a moister texture. Consider adding diced pickles or jalapeños for a twist in flavor.
