  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 11.5 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 68 pieces Tortillas (flour or corn, 6โ€“8-inch)
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder, stirring to combine.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  4. Place a few spoonfuls of the beef mixture along with shredded cheese in each tortilla and roll tightly.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, then fry the taquitos seam-side down until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oil and let drain on paper towels before serving.
