Deliciously savory taquitos filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, perfect for quick meals or entertaining.

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 11.5 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 68 pieces Tortillas (flour or corn, 6โ€“8-inch)
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon until browned.
  2. Add cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  4. Place a few spoonfuls of the beef mixture along with shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla and roll tightly.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, then fry the taquitos seam-side down until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from the oil and let drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Serve with sour cream and salsa for dipping. Consider additional sides like guacamole or salad.
