Delightfully thick, soft, and chewy chocolate chip cookies that satisfy any sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth in a large bowl.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for optimal creaming and consider experimenting with different types of chocolate chips.
