A crowd-pleasing brunch treat combining cinnamon rolls with a rich egg custard, baked until golden and drizzled with maple syrup.

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or plant-based)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the cinnamon roll dough into 1- to 2-inch pieces and arrange them in the dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the dough pieces, pressing down gently.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and set.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar.
