A creamy, tangy appetizer made with cream cheese and cheddar, rolled in nuts, perfect for gatherings.

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Remove the cream cheese from the fridge ahead of time to soften.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped green onions, chopped pecans, and garlic powder.
  3. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is uniform.
  4. Shape the mixture into a compact ball.
  5. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm and develop flavor.
  6. Unwrap, place on a serving plate, and serve with crackers and vegetable sticks.

Notes

For a lighter version, use part-skim cream cheese. For nut-free, omit pecans and use chives or breadcrumbs.
