A creamy pasta dish with shredded cooked chicken, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and crunchy smoked breakfast meat, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or leftover)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp)
  • 1 cup cooked, crumbled smoked breakfast meat
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and chicken broth. Stir frequently until the cream cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and fold to coat the pasta with the sauce. Stir in the shredded cheddar and the crumbled cooked breakfast meat until evenly distributed.
  4. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, stirring gently, until the cheese melts and the mixture is heated through and glossy.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Use room-temperature cream cheese to ensure smooth melting. Adjust ingredients for dietary preferences, such as substituting smoked meat for mushrooms for a meat-free option.
