A quick yet fancy creamy garlic salmon dish, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (to taste)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Let it melt and foam but do not brown.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 to 45 seconds until fragrant. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
  3. Pat the salmon dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the fillets in the skillet, presentation side up first if skinless. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice. Stir gently, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens and the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 125°F to 135°F for medium doneness.
  6. Remove from heat, spoon sauce over the fillets, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce, or use coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
