Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain and return the potatoes to the pot.
  3. Add milk and sour cream to the drained potatoes and mash until smooth.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
  5. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and opaque, approximately 4-5 minutes.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat for about 3-5 minutes, thickening slightly.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and adjust the consistency of the mashed potatoes for your desired creaminess.
