A comforting dish of tender chicken bathed in rich gravy, perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 2 lbs chicken (thighs or breasts)
  • 1 packet of gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix and chicken broth, then pour it over the chicken.
  3. Add the chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-420 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with a fork and stir it back into the gravy.

Notes

Try adding vegetables like carrots or peas for added nutrition. Use chicken thighs for juicier meat.
