A comforting dish featuring juicy chicken breasts, a crispy breadcrumb coating, savory marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  6. Spoon marinara sauce over each breast and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian seasoning for a few hours. Use fresh breadcrumbs for best texture.
