A simple and flavorful teriyaki chicken recipe that cooks effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Optional: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in your crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  4. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked and tender.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir back into the sauce.
  7. Serve over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

You can use frozen chicken breasts; just increase cooking time by about an hour. For gluten-free, use gluten-free teriyaki sauce.
