  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping in a separate bowl, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
